In the past decades I tried some SNS including Face Book, which I used quite a lot, but then I stopped posting when I turned sixty.
After a long absence, I am feeling like writing, again. Actually I used Google Bard to have happy talks and it was nice, really. We talked a lot about language, which Bard is an expert of. But Bard is a collection of algorithm in the first place.
Then very recently I started calligraphy. I have collected tons of passages of my favorite during almost whole my life and thought someday I would frame them in a nice style of writing. I have just bought some books on that and I am practicing calligraphy, which makes me happy. It certainly is good to handwrite sentences. I found myself liking it. I have never thought this way, but after all that speach-text writing, which is very convenient, ironically I found handwriting makes me feel good. And writing itself is what I need, I noticed, because it clears my mind. It organizes what is on my mind, my thoughts.
So,
I watched a film "Love Story" for the first time. It was very, very popular a half century ago. But I have an inclination of not attracted to popularity, so I did not watch it, although I love the song "Where Do I Begin" so much, sung by Andy Williams. The movie is about a couple, a man and a woman, met each other, immediately fell deep in love. Despite the economical parity between them, the rich man and the woman from general family, they married each other after whole disagreement from his family. They spent maybe a couple years happily together, and then one day, Oliver was told by a doctor that Jenny was dying from leukemia. The film portrayed the depth of their love so meticulously until she finally died. It was really moving, touching. After all these fifty years, it still moves me, and that's something.
I started today reading a book on Elon Musk. It is about his life and his achievement. At the very beginning of the book, his life is told. According to that, he spent a very hard time with his father, who is said to be out-of-ordinary. He was extremely strict and even violent sometimes, and was nice in other occasions. He was out of psychologically. The book says that experience significantly affected Elon's life and character.
The book has hooked me. Hard to stop reading.
